For founders without a marketing team

Activation and onboarding emails, set up by your agent.

New users sign up, click around once and never come back. Sendocado sends them a welcome email, then a follow-up on day 3 if they haven’t finished onboarding. They go out through your own Resend, Amazon SES or Postmark account. They stop once the user is set up.

Free for 1,000 contacts and 5,000 emails a month. Sign in with Google or email to read and edit your draft. Nothing sends until you set it live.

Using Claude Code? Run claude mcp add --transport http sendocado https://sendocado.com/api/mcp and ask it to set this up. Other agents: Sendocado for agents.

Plain welcome emails, from a person.

Here are the three emails one new Acme user gets in their first month. Each one asks for one thing. They come from Maya’s own address, and a reply goes to her.

Day 0, when Sam signs up: Welcome

Welcome, Sam

Maya at Acme <maya@acme.com>to me
9:02 AM

Hi Sam,

Thanks for trying Acme. I’m Maya, I built it, and this address reaches me.

The fastest way in is to connect your first project. It takes about two minutes, and everything else starts from there.

If something gets in the way, hit reply and tell me. I read every one.

Should I stop writing?

Maya at Acme

Hi Sam,

It’s been a month since you tried Acme. If it wasn’t for you, no hard feelings.

If you want another go, imports are much faster now. Reply and I’ll set it up with you.

This is the last one, promise.

Three steps, then it runs on its own.

  1. Add your signups

When someone signs up, your app sends Sendocado their email with a tag like trial. That starts the welcome email. Your agent can add the call to your code, or you can upload a CSV.

  2. Write the emails

Each email asks for one thing, like adding a first project, and waits a number of days after the one before. Read and edit every email before anything sends.

  3. Stop when they’re set up

When they add that first project, your app adds the tag activated, and they get no more follow-ups. A reply stops them too.

Ask your agent to set it up.

Sendocado has a hosted MCP server (the Model Context Protocol, which lets an agent use outside tools). Connect it once. Ask for welcome emails and a follow-up for users who didn’t finish onboarding. Your agent writes them as a draft, sends you a test and sets them live when you say yes. It can also connect your Resend, Amazon SES or Postmark account and add your sending domain.

Want to change an email next week? Ask in a new chat. Your agent reads the live campaign first, so you don’t explain it all again.

Run this once, then type /mcp in Claude Code to sign in.

Send from your own address.

Connect the email provider you already use. Mail goes out from your domain, through your account. Sendocado never sends your email from an account of its own.

  • ResendPaste an API key. We add the webhook for you.
  • Amazon SESYour own AWS account. We set up DKIM and the event feed.
  • PostmarkPick the message stream your campaigns send on.
  • SendGridBounces and spam reports come back and block the address.
  • MailgunSend from the US or the EU region, on your own domain.
  • Any SMTP serverA host, a port and a password is all it needs.
  • Gmail (beta)Sends as you, up to 500 emails a day.

Hi First name,

Most people get stuck on the same step: adding their first project. Here’s the shortcut that takes two minutes.

Add my first project

If something else is in the way, hit reply. It comes straight to me.

Rather write it yourself? It’s like a doc.

Type the email the way you’d write to one person. No blocks, no drag and drop.

  • Names where you want themAdd First name from the { } menu. Anyone without a first name gets “there”.
  • A plain-text copy of every emailEvery email goes out with a plain-text version made from yours.
  • Test it on yourselfSend a test with a real contact’s details before anyone else sees it.

See which email gets people set up.

Opens, clicks and replies for every email in a campaign, side by side. Rewrite the weak one and keep the rest.

Unsubscribes, bounces and the law are done for you.

They are on from the first email. You do not set them up.

  • One-click unsubscribeEvery marketing email has the link and the header Gmail and Yahoo ask for.
  • Bounces and spam reportsAn address that bounces or reports spam is blocked until you unblock it.
  • Replies stop the campaignSomeone who writes back leaves the campaign. Turn it off per campaign.
  • Send windows and time zonesPick days and hours, like weekdays nine to five, in each contact’s own time zone.
  • Your postal addressAdded to the footer of every marketing email, as the law asks.
  • RetriesIf your provider fails for a moment, the send is tried again 6 hours later.
  • A pace you setCap sends per hour while a new domain warms up.
  • Export and eraseExport one contact’s data, or erase them for good.
  • Paused before your provider steps inIf last week’s bounces pass 5% or spam reports pass 0.3%, campaigns and broadcasts stop until you fix it.

Free for 1,000 contacts. $10 a month for 10,000.

Your email provider bills you for the sending, so a Sendocado plan pays only for Sendocado’s own servers.

Questions

What are activation emails?

Welcome emails and onboarding follow-ups, not the email that verifies an address. They help a new user take the first step that matters in your product, like connecting a project or sending a first invoice. Sendocado sends them on the days you set and stops when the person takes that step.

What does my app need to send Sendocado?

One API call when someone signs up, with a tag like trial. One more when they finish onboarding, with a tag like activated. Your agent can add both calls to your code.

Does anything send without me?

No. A campaign is a draft until you set it live, or your agent sets it live after you say yes. Then each new user who matches gets the first email within about 2 minutes (or when your send window opens), and the rest on their days.

Do I need my own email provider?

Yes. Connect Resend, Amazon SES, Postmark, SendGrid, Mailgun, any SMTP server or Gmail. Your email goes out through your account, from your domain.

Will my emails land in spam?

That depends on your domain and what you send. Sendocado shows the DNS records your provider needs and checks them. It adds one-click unsubscribe and stops emailing addresses that bounce or report spam. If bounces or spam reports climb past safe levels, it pauses sending before your provider does.

Can my agent set everything up?

Yes, except three things you do yourself. Your agent can create the project, connect Resend, Amazon SES, Postmark, SendGrid, Mailgun or SMTP, add your domain, import contacts, write the campaign and set it live after you say yes. You sign in once in your browser, add the DNS records at your DNS host, and connect Gmail in the app.

Can my agent change the emails later?

Yes. It reads the live campaign and changes one email at a time, so each email keeps its results. You see every change in the app.

Which agents work with Sendocado?

Claude Code, Cursor, Claude on the web and desktop, and any client that connects to a remote MCP server over HTTP. There is also a REST API with an OpenAPI file.

What happens when someone replies?

The reply lands in your Replies inbox in Sendocado, and that person leaves the campaign. You can keep people in a campaign after they reply if you prefer.

How is this different from Loops, Customer.io or Mailchimp?

They send email for you, from their own servers. Sendocado sends through the provider account you already have, so your sending stays yours. It does one job, the emails that get new signups to use your product, and plans start at $10 a month for 10,000 contacts. If you want SMS, push or a full marketing suite, they are good choices.

Can I import my contacts?

Yes. Upload a CSV, send them through the API up to 1,000 at a time, or ask your agent to do it.

Is there a free plan, and can I cancel anytime?

Yes. The free plan covers 1,000 contacts, 5,000 emails a month and one project, with a “Sent with Sendocado” line in each email. Paid plans cancel from Settings and run to the end of the period you paid for.

Where is my data stored?

Your contacts and campaigns are stored in Convex, our database provider, and the app runs on Amazon Web Services. Email content goes to the provider you connect. The privacy policy lists every service we use.
