Acceptable use policy
Effective October 4, 2026
Sendocado is for email that people asked for: welcome emails, product updates, nudges, receipts and replies to your own users. This policy is part of our terms of service. It applies to everything sent through your account, whether you, the API or a connected agent sent it.
1. Who you may email
- People who signed up for your product or newsletter, or otherwise agreed to hear from you.
- People the law lets you email without consent, such as existing customers about similar products where that exception applies.
You may not email:
- bought, rented, borrowed or scraped lists;
- addresses taken from websites, directories or social profiles without consent;
- role addresses that never signed up, such as sales@ or info@;
- people who unsubscribed or asked you to stop.
2. Cold email
Sendocado is not a cold outreach tool. Do not use it for unsolicited sales sequences, lead generation to people who never contacted you, or inbox warm-up schemes.
3. What every email must have
- An honest From name and address that you own or may use.
- A subject line that matches the email.
- For marketing email, a working unsubscribe link and your postal address. Sendocado adds both; do not hide or remove them.
4. Content you may not send
- anything illegal where you or your recipients are;
- phishing, malware, or links that hide where they lead;
- content that harasses, threatens or promotes violence or hatred;
- sexual content involving minors, in any form;
- scams, get-rich-quick schemes, fake prizes, or deceptive health or financial claims;
- email that impersonates another person, company or government body;
- content that infringes someone else’s rights.
5. Keeping lists healthy
Sendocado blocks addresses that bounce or report spam, and honours every unsubscribe. Do not get around this, for example by adding a blocked address again under a new contact or a new project. Unblock an address only when the person has asked to hear from you again.
6. The Service itself
- Do not test our security or attack the Service.
- Do not get around rate limits or plan limits, for example with many free accounts.
- Do not resell Sendocado or send for other businesses as an agency without telling us first.
7. What we do about breaches
When bounce or spam complaint rates, reports from email providers or abuse reports show a problem, we may pause sending, remove content, ask you for proof of consent, or suspend or close the account. Where we can, we tell you first and give you time to fix it. For serious harm, such as phishing or malware, we act at once.
8. Reporting abuse
If you received email sent through Sendocado that you did not ask for, forward it to support@sendocado.com. We read every report.
